So I'm going to make my first hammock this weekend. It's going to be an 11 foot marpat 1.1 single layer ripstop. Also I just recently got a thread injector and I've been practicing. I plan on sewing end channels and larksheading my whoopies through them. I'm sure I'll have more questions but the first is: Should I hem under the selvage on the sides or should I use a soldering iron to cut it off?
