Had a chance to get out this last weekend and get an overnighter in.
Hairsmith and Jeff488 set up a trip out to Boykin Spings in Zavalla TX just outside of Jasper.
I headed out sat. morning and arrived around 1200. I set up camp and went on the short hike to the Old Aldridge Saw Mill ruins. It was first built back in 1898. It's quite a site walking up on it in the piney woods. I had a look around and headed back into camp where I met up with Hairsmith, Jeff488, Dutch, ( not the hammock worlds Dutch, but a very kind ground dweller ) and Rich. We sat around, had some dinner and conversed amongst each other. We chatted and fiddle with fire till it was time to retire to our choice of sleeping. All slept well, except for Dutch who was rumor to be up searching the web of hammock choices. )
Morning came, breakfast was had, packing up and goodbyes were said.
Thanks to Hairsmith and Jeff488 who let me tag along there trip. Great group of folks.
