Permethrin and tarp? EDIT Don't do it...read on.
Do you, have you, would you, spray your tarp with Permethrin?
Does the tarp material matter?
Cuben vs silnylon vs coated/rubberized whatever...
I have a tarp that will be set up for weeks or months at a time and others that are setup for days at a time.
It is amazing the number of bugs that drop in to visit let alone the mosquitos that like to hang out. Then of course the bug eating birds like to visit every morning.
Using a bugnet with the hammock makes it almost a non issue but yesterday's assault, as I went to sneak a nap, was particularly brutal.
I wasn't planning on spraying my tarp but it looks like I will have some P-stuff left in the bottle after coating the hammocks today and thought I might try it on my repurposed Kelty footprint now diamond shaped tarp.
