The WB twist test is an effective "rule of thumb" (and forefinger) to make sure the bugnet doesn't sag in your face. The line may or may not be strong enough to function as an actual structural ridgeline, despite being called one. The twist test is a good way to see that it's tight enough to hold the bugnet where you want it, and not so tight that it could fail and bring down lawsuits.
