Hi Everyone,
I am at the stage where I need to include the Velcro for the bug netting on my new hammock. I know I will need to use the non-hook soft side of the velcro along the hammock sides. My question is relating to the length of the velcro required and the way the netting will fold at the ends.
I want to provide 'solid' panels to the netting on the hammock ends sort of like a small low suspended tent effect over the hammock. Not too sure how this will close up with velcro at the narrow ends though???
Anyone have a similar concern when making theirs?
Another question... I want to include a 'shelf' within the hammock. I was considering adding a narrow strip of ripstop along one long side of the bug netting to facilitate this requirement. What do you think? Will it work?
Any ideas or solutions happily received...
Great site this...truly inspirational ! Just reading Ed Speers book - how lucky does one have to be to be able to long-hike for 7 months - is that freedom or what !!! Over here if you hiked for several days you would fall off the island.
