That's my height and weight and I haven't had any issues with the 1.1dbl.
Thanks it's my first hammock .want to get it right.
Do you backpack or car camp?
Also, do you use an under quilt or do you want the option of using pads?

Thanks for your reply, as far as use ,I plan to doing both car and hike hangin. As far as under quilting think I would prefer putting in pads vs under quilt
Then go with the double layer since you want the pad option.
The only advantage that the single layer has is a little bit lighter for backpackers that only use quilts.
Both will be heavenly comfortable for your size.

I use the 1.1 DL. 5"10" and a bit over 200 pounds. No issues. The DL is nice to slid a pad into.

Thanks for the input ?1.1 or 1.7
I'm 6', 190 lbs and have a 1.1/1.7 hammock. If I were to do it again it would be a dbl 1.1.
I am 6'2" and about 185. I own a 1.1dl xlc and absolutely love it! Do yourself a favor and upgrade your mind into getting the xlc with the top cover. It will allow for lower temp usage if necessary and the extra length and removable net allows for versatile use.
So my recommendation is 1.1 dl xlc with top cover... happy hangin' friend.
