I'm trying to decide between the Blackbird and Blackbird XLC for my first hammock. I kind of like the idea of being able to put a solid color cover on top, but I'm wondering about the large amount of mesh with the screen top.
I'd particularly love to hear from people who have had both the standard and XLC versions, does anyone feel like the XLC has too much mesh? Either causing too much airflow, not enough privacy, or simply aesthetically? I'd guess in a hot climate the extra mesh would be awesome, but for my purposes, I don't camp in super hot or humid places, so the extra mesh of the XLC largely comes down to aesthetics. The problem is I've never seen one in person, looking out from the inside. So I'm just curious if anyone actually prefers the lesser mesh of the standard.
