Shock cord or separate stakes? I was planning on just shock cording them to the corner stakes. Any thoughts? Best size shock cord to use?

what i use is a loop of the small shock cord, sorry cant remember the size, and some zing it..what i do is i have the loop larksheaded to the tarp door and on the zing it i have a tarpdoor hook to hook onto the shockcord. then i have a prussic on the other end that way whichever way i go, to the corner stakes or their own i have no problems . I also use the prussic to tie them back with a simplecinch knot to the opposite tie out.. love using the prussics and the tarpdoor hook im still figuring out ..
It's not the boulders that throw us off balance, it's the pebbles beneath our feet
I attached a shock cord with a cord lock to each door corner, with a small plastic s biner on the other end. Most of the time I keep the door on the same side fastened to each other inside the tarp, but all the cordage is there if I need to rig the doors for weather conditions. I can go to the opposite stakes, or around the tree.
If you go out below 0F, you'll have to switch them out to cord. When it's that cold, the shock cord stops rebounding.
