"Vintage" hammock project

Lately I've been working on a little project, which incidentally is my first hammock build.

Here's the concept - take mostly vintage New Old Stock army surplus materials and use them to make a camping hammock. I've gathered everything I need for the build, just need to put it all together. The materials list is as follows:

• 2.8m (9.5 ft) of 1960s vintage 50D camouflage print nylon cloth for the hammock body
• Suspension made from 60s vintage 1-inch olive drab cotton webbing
• Cinch buckles on suspension made from oxidised brass rings doubled up
• Side tie-outs on hammock body made from vintage OD grosgrain ribbon and OD milspec shock cord
• Tarp is a 1969 olive drab 70D nylon hootchie tarp
• Removeable mosquito netting is made from a lightly modified 1970s Australian army insect net

As of this evening I've done the basic hammock body. Here are some pics -

Detail of the gathered end using Tier Gear cinch buckle suspension. The finished product will use 1 inch cotton military webbing in place of the amsteel cord.

Hammock test-slung between two too-close-together anchors. I'm hoping to test it in daylight in the morning.
