Pan produced one that I use, but its no longer in production. About that time, shorter quilts like the Yeti were all the rave, and I think folks weren't willing to pay the couple of oz's more to have the option of having it both ways. IMO, that might be changing. Especially if there were some sort of multifunction for the short part.

Thats true. Could be used under the knees for sure or possibly in conjuction with a top quilt.
I am so pleased with my full length UQ that I have given the 3/4 length UQ that I had to a friend, since it was never in use. But mind you, I do not do extended hikes where weight could be a serious issue.
