What's the distance between the spreader bars? And does the spindrift (older grommet version) hook on to the spreader bar tips?
Thanks in advance.

28.5 on the foot end, and 39.5" with the 4 inche center extension inserted in the middle and tips stick out about a half inch on each side. And Spindrift is installed by feeding the dogbones thru the gromets or holes in it on the corners, and does not attach to the spreader bars. You can leave the spindrift on the hammock and store it with it on and then when you hang the hammock, you reach inside and insert the spreader bars thru the brackets of the hammock on the corners, spindrift can already be on. I think Brandon has a video on Warbonnets website for installation if you check out his video section.

Good info Acer, thanks. Not having a RR or spindrift i was curious.
And what's the distance between the head end bars and foot end bars? Like 68"?

With the hammock just hanging, with tape measurer, i get 81" long. The WBRR bridge is made to fit a person i think 6' 6" tall. I am 6' and have alot of space i use for storage of clothing when sleeping at the foot end and also at the head end as its designed for alittle storage due to a pocket of loose materal at each end. Don't forget the saddle bags on both sides also for storage. If you were to get a RR and spindrift, i reccommend the 2 door spindrift as the 2 doors is awesome to sleep with and be able to slightly vent at the top of each door if needed. Also neat to sleep with both doors unzipped without taking the spindrift off. Pack the hammock in a pack with the spindrift on as it all stays together very nicely and designed to do so by Brandon.

Again, great info Acer, thank you so much. I'll probably get to see a RR at the NJ Winter Hang and that could sway me.

If you're thinking of getting a Spindrift, you might also consider getting Dutch's cinch bugs (with camo straps) for the RR; they're small and so make it easier to put the Spindrift on or take it off (though once its on, you can just leave it be, as Acer says above). [I don't have a Spindrift, but I sure like my cinch bugs (and the RR).]
Love the cinch bug buckles, i use em!
