good one! Does that bridge hammock at ~2:15 have built in gear storage? ;-)
Looks like a grate time. Two of my favorite things for casmping: Hammocks and Dutch Oven cooking. Wow and slinging. Yaaa.
Tortoise never for a moment stopped, but went on with a slow but steady pace straight to the end of the course.

Nicely done MacEntyre. Not only did we get to see some gear, but I really enjoyed how you showed "the rest of the story" from eagles and nature walks to honey trees and a feast. It was a great weekend that I won't forget anytime soon.
I'm glad y'all made the trip and that we could hang out a bit together.
Shame one of ya'll weren't named Walker .... "Walker Texas Hanger" sort of has a ring to it!
Good to see BF5 and oldgringo in the videos. Sounds like Thing1 had a great time and even got to see a Bald Eagle in the wild ... sweet!

Thanks MacEntyre. That was great!

That is probably the intent of the ends, but I had to put my feet beyond the bar on one end... I think the hammock is a bit short.
Those Dutch Oven Chefs were awesome! Clearly, they have done it many times before.
Thank you very much for inviting us, Uncle! We really enjoyed it. Glad you liked our personal view of things. The only problem with the Texas Fall Hang is that there are so many people, it's hard to spend time with all of them!
OldGringo is younger than I had imagined... he was a lot of fun to hang with! All the folks we met were gracious and friendly. It occurred to me that the Texas hang was a lot like a medieval fair, full of characters, food and good cheer!
You are entyrely welcome, Cap'n! Great to meet you. CAVU to you and yours!
Thank you, BF5! We enjoyed it tremendously!
You are entyrely welcome! Great meeting you and your wife. You guys are the best at car camping!Originally Posted by ^shane^
Here's a special "Thank you!" to The Sisters, Sandpiper and Kattelyn! They took Thing1 kayaking, and they took all of us on a great nature walk. They make purty good food, too! When the rest of us were packing up to depart, The Sisters were getting ready to go kayaking again!
Oh, and Curtis... wifey & me watched "Food, Inc." ... haven't eaten much since.
