    They call me #2

Howdy from Texas. My trail name is Number 2, because I'm the 2nd oldest of 7 kids....
I hike with my hero, my oldest brother, Jim aka; Smokey Bear.
We meet in the middle, he lives in Wisconsin, either the Ozark Trail, or a trail in Arkansas.
Were both mid 50's, are veterans and mostly talk about our grandkids when on the trail.
We hike about 10 miles a day, then leisurely set up our hammocks and eat a warm meal.
I think Shug and Sintax77 have been the most influential hangers for me. When Smokey Bear said lets hike I bought a tent. Then found Sintax77 then Shug on YT, then put the tent in the closet. Also a cat from Oklahoma with the youtube name "somewhereonthetrail" who solo hiked the Ozark Highlands trail that inspired me. I plan on doing that before I get too old to hike. Shug hiked the Angleworm trail in BWCA, and I will hike that someday too.
In summary, much like Shug, I enjoy a BIG cup of coffee before getting out of my hammock in the morning, and I enjoy getting away from civilization to recharge.
This forum has been a tremendous help and I am sure will continue to be.
    Namaste.

Welcome to the site. You have picked a couple of great YouTubers to learn from (and there are plenty of others here as well). The Ozarks are a great place to hike ... can't wait to see and hear about your treks.

That reason for your trail name is better than the story I imagined...
