Thanks I love the way that folds up. I will most certainly have to copy that idea.
My only other thought on improvements would be with the spread limiter. Instead of just a rope or line why not a triangle of material that would make a shelf in the tripod. Would be a good place to put gear or whatever yo want off the ground.

May have been in the Turtlelady thread. Don't know why they couldn't be stacked as shelves up each tripod. Along with the winter cover the Turtledog could become a survival shelter. And with that at 1:30AM I'm going to my hammock.
Most of us end up poorer here but richer for being here. Olddog, Fulltime hammocker, 365 nights a year.
Would be handy might have to have a go at net making with some paracord only thing is it will be exposed to the weather which here in Scotland isn't always dry so wait and see. But there is my other invention which when perfected could possibly be made to order and that should sort the problem of soggy gear!
I thought it was in the Turtlelady thread, but didn't find it looking at every page and I looked through a large portion of this thread for it. Of course at some point I probably went into a daze and could have missed it. There was a photo of the stand in their living room.
Cover the tripods for the "two-tepees-and-a-hammock" all weather camping and backyard storage system.
Hi,
I plan to build mine but it's hard for me to buy steel pipe. Do you think it would be possible to use wood instead of steel ? The weight is supported by the tripods and the pipe is working on compression (not sure for the word, sorry)...
Thank you for your help and your ideas !
