I was just looking at the bushcraft camp chairs and thinking "I wonder if anybody has ever insulated the backside of one of those with an 'underquilt'. That would be fantastic. Warm your front by the fire and keep your back warm with extra the insulation." Now I see an insulated recliner I am officially green with envy.

I wouldn’t mind at all, in fact I’d be a hypocrite if I did. I clone everything, this morning I check behind my ear for a numbered tattoo just to be sure I didn’t clone myself! Let me know if you need any advise

Thanks! I was a graphic designer & independent photographer in a previous life. Loved the career, hated not getting paid for it . Now I’m working for the “Man” in a windowless 6x6 cubicle (do you hear a violin?) hating my career, loving getting paid for it
Mostly kidding, I don’t mind my job. I do the production work on my DIY gear cause I’m still a show-off (Otter) at heart.

With the Snow Beast TQ, I could have easily slept there over night. In fact that would make a good light weight 3 season solution. The chair with suspension in a stuff sack weights 21.8oz and would replace my hammock (33oz) and my UQ (28oz)

I’d have to find a small volume manufacturer; it takes me way too long to make gear. This little beast took me the better part of 2 days. I will try to put some “one-offs” up on the FS thread when I can but can’t commit, it took me a year to get to this one.

Awesome work! You're saving me some money by NOT putting those into production

One question I do have is...did you experience any discomfort in your knees when you put your feet up?

I'm thinking that having your legs extended and locked out may cause some stiffness in your knees. But I'm also thinking that maybe the chair supports the back of your thighs (since it looks like it goes down pretty far) and your butt sits low enough to put a little bend in your knees so it may not be an issue.

Very well done, sir. Good idea and fantastic execution! Just don't setup across the trail. Your so stealthy anything (people, game, big-foot) could run into you.
