Yes, it is unfortunate that both of these were scheduled for the same weekend, but I think it may be advantageous for getting more people out. If they can't get to one, maybe they can get to the other.

As far as editing, I think I've got that covered. I have already made probably 20 edits to that post.

No kidding. Skunk #5 came wandering up to our campsite at Mammoth Cave NP last spring. I don't want to meet #6 any time soon!

I'm with you shrek, I think it's great that they are both happening and will get more people out. I never thought of this hang as a problem for the Dolly Sods hang. 1. Dolly Sods is in an area that is difficult for a lot of people to get to so you REALLY REALLY have to want to go there to get there. 2. They are different types of hangs. The Dolly Sods hang is more of a wilderness type hang with backpacking involved where this hang is not. Many people are not prepared to backpack but really like hanging. So I don't think it competes. It's all good.

Glad to hear the hang is back on! HC

I think it's great that this event is still on and hope that plenty can still make it this time. Hopefully, Ed can reschedule another hang as he indicated to Shrek. Personally, I like the idea of a hang in October (Like MAHHA) or November for the cooler weather. It just makes a campfire all the more enjoyable and the conversation with friends around all the better as well.

As a side note, does anyone have access to awnings like Ed has, just in case of foul weather? If not, I'm sure that a large tarp or 2 can be rigged somehow or another. Looking forward to seeing you all there. Dancer, Bearpaw, Sleeps with Skunks and I will be down in our usual corner, "Camp Devil Dog". Marine Corps colors will mark the spot, request permission to come aboard, first.

Anyone interested in a day hike? I'm thinking Allen Gap to Tanyard Gap this time.
