    Superfly repair

I have a warbonnet super fly and is seems to have a tiny hole in it from last trip. Think an ember landed on it. It's about the size of a "nerds" the tiny candy. Sorry could not think of anything else that size. I want to prevent it from getting bigger. Any suggestions? I thought a drop superglue but figured I would ask here first.

Its crude but I cut out circles of Gorilla tape about the size of a coin (pick which ever one you like). I put a "patch" on the inside and outside. There are other nicer, more permanent repairs, but this is just what I do.

A dab of SilNet or maybe Tenacious Tape. Either should be available at a local outdoors store.

Thought about that too. Thanks might give it a try. It's just so small.

i have seen people repair tarps with just silicon... if its small enough the silicon will fill the hole... if not take a hole punch to some nylon and silicon it on both sides...

I used Tear-Aid on a parachute nylon hammock with great success. Not sure about it for sil nylon though.

My understanding is that a 'proper' repair would be a tiny patch of sil nylon on each side, adhered with silicon... That's entirely second hand information though so buyer beware.

I repaired a Mama Jamba a while back that had a small rub spot on it. I used Tenatious Tape and sealed it with SilNet on both sides. Maybe that's over kill but it will never leak.

Silnet is made by McNett and is specifically for silnylon.
