"That's all part of hiking... body feels like crap, spirit feels great. And a little bit like crap." Priceless. And true.

Along with your DIY skills your videos always impress. Great job by the 'kid' on his first hike.

I remember waking up one morning to heavy splashing out in Algonquin (lucky enough to camp right on the water). Once I looked out, saw two moose about 30 yards out taking an early morning swim. They do like to make some noise. Really wish I had remembered to grab the camera!

Seems I'm a bit behind the ball here but looking forward to this installment Fronkey!

Watched this one over my morning cuppa, and it delivered just as well as the previous two. Man, it looks like it's beautiful up there in MN right now. We're just starting to get down into the high-60s at night down here. It'll be another two months before we see any leaf change...
It is really gorgeous up here at the moment. I do miss those Florida winters though.

Thanks man. haha I hung my hammock low because it was really windy and I pitched my tarp down. She kept licking me in the face that night.

Yeah, he joined the marines right before we went on the trip. I will be the nightmare of the marines! Thanks for watching!

How do we follow your spot? It would be really cool to watch fellow hammockers progress on their trips!
Tala smoked us the whole trip. But, we kind of expected she would. lol I only posted my spot link on my facebook and didn't want it posted on here. I mainly just carried it to put the girlfriend's mind at ease.

Sounds like the drop-offs for food was easy enough. That's good.
    Yeah....cousin looks tired.
Always get some sort of wildlife action at Horse-shoe ridge.

I'm off to the Kekekabic in the morn.....can't wait to be out. Alone. In the pineys.....

Aw man, was it really??? I am dying to see a MN moose and I probably would have hunted it down if I knew. I did 4 food drops and it worked out awesome and less than a mile from the trail both ways.

I have a funny story about the latrine at horseshoe ridge I'll tell you about next time we camp.

Have an awesome time on Kekekabic trail. That's on my list and I can't wait to see what the trail looks like.

Awesome way to start the week.

Are you going to have to go back? "You shall not pass" seemed pretty convincing!

Wait until you see when I'll be thru-hiking the SHT next. I would have wished I didn't go back.

Been about 6 or 7 years since I have been on that trail. Last time was right before I went hammocks. Was in my ultra-light tarp/bivvie mode.
It is not as maintained as the SHT and not very well marked at all. Fun...
