Sold Item Subforum

Well I think it is great that things are getting more organized but one of the reasons for moving the Sold items was to clear out the FS section but the items are kinda still in there but just marked as moved...so its kinda like nothing has changed.. Am I looking at this wrong or is there as way to hide the moved items?

We move the thread to the SOLD sub-forum, but leave a 7 day expiring re-direct. After 7 days, the re-direct will disappear.

It only made sense to move them to a sold sub forum. I will hold off on doing this. But let me ask a few questions then.
If the item is sold then why does it even need to stay listed in the for sale forum?
Why does anyone want to waist there time looking at a thread that says [SOLD] because it is no longer for sale and they can't buy it.?

As long as nothing is ever deleted I think this is a great idea! You shouldn't delete because if there is a PayPal dispute, both parties will need reference to a place where the item is sold. Great job guys!

Maybe a 1 day re-direct would work better? Right now, the first few pages are still littered with sold threads.

Thanks Mods for all of this. I suggested a Sold subfolder a long time ago and it was never done. I am so happy to see it in effect now.

I do see value in a thread being marked sold and I see great value in leaving the prices posted.

Many times when I am considering selling an item or making a purchase, I scroll through those items for sale and sold for comparison sake. When the price is removed, we lose a helpful resource.

I often do google searches to see the "market value" of used gear/new gear. This is a great resource. I think it is a shame when sellers delete the price that they sold their gear for.
