    Check 1,2 Check 1,2,3....

So I'm super xited about leaving for my trip tomorrow. I know where I am starting don't know how many miles I'll due but I guess however many my feet will take me.

Any ways. Usually before a trip ill start packing the week or two before just getting my gear together, fiddle around with it a bit, take things out put things in and wear my pack on dog walks to get it all dialed down and what nots. Most importantly though I check, re-check and triple check every piece of gear to make sure it's ready for the trail. So this evening I was doing my final gear check and started to pack and upon lifting up my pack I found a puddle of water underneath it on the floor of my gear cave. I was curious as to where the water was coming from and upon further investigating I found it was dripping from the bottom of my pack. Come to find out my platypus had sprung a leak and the water had soaked through the bottom of my pack. Thankfully nothing got wet cause all my gear was laid out on my basement floor but guess I'm off to REI in the am before I hit the trail. Any ways, always remember to be as through as possible when packing for a trip you never know what might spring a leak .

    Happy Trails

Sometimes I like to hike and think, And sometimes I just like to hike.

Hiking is'ent about waiting for the storm to pass its about learning to hike in the rain.

dry sacks are your friend. I use them liberally just in case. Good luck, and grand adventures.

Have a great trip, and enjoy every moment. I feel a bit of envy as I sit here behind my desk looking out the window.
