Thank you, it was a good trip. Though only for an overnight, it sure cleansed my soul to be out in the woods

We should hike together sometime...it's not that bad at all. Bridge To Nowhere is another that's on my to-do list but I will wait when there are less people on the trail and when the mountain lions have gone back to hiding

Hiking...it does the body good I would recommend it to anyone, whether it be car camping or hiking

It is different, not as "piney" but man, it is nice out there.

Wow that's a great trip! Thanks for the pics, man. I've been to Sturtevant Falls one time, but just turned back and went back home right after though. I didn't know there was a lot more cool sight seeing in that area. Gonna check those trails out next time.

My friends and I usually go the opposite direction of Sturtevant, to Hermit Falls, where you can cliff jump into the water. Two pools to jump into, a 20 footer and a 40. Good one to go to in the warmer months.

Hiking up on the way back always bums me out though. haha

Awesome report and captions for the pics. Totally different than Florida. We may have an elevation change of 20 feet if lucky. Keep them coming so I can live vicariouslly thru you.

Thanks! We didn't even bother to stay long at Sturtevant. It was like Disneyland...too many people. All of us in the group pretty much said the same thing..."seen it...let's go".

There are quite a few trails from the Chantry trailhead. Next time, we are planning on camping at Spruce then hike to Mt. Wilson then maybe explore other trails in the area. All good well maintained trails and emergency call boxes everywhere. You should come out with us sometime...plenty of trees to hang

Thanks! There were times that I wish the elevation gain/loss was 20ft. I hope to have more trips under my feet as the weather cools.

Thanks for taking the time to take pictures and write up a trip report. I read it before work yesterday and found that I ran out of time and had to continue today. Thanks again for the look into your part of the world. You got some great looking country.
