generally, when I have found shipping charges to be on the high side for light weight items, I often call the vendor.
Redden Marine is one example who works with their customers is this regards.

Wow, I had my eye on those as well and noticed the nice deal. I had no idea on the shipping, though. I just checked and it's 15.50 to me... yikes!

+1 to that. I have had great experience with Paul over at AHE, get ahold of him by email or phone and he will sort you out nice looking foot warmers

Great products; however, that's definitely an issue to add in to the overall price. For example, I can get Western Mountaineering down boots for 15% off and free shipping right now.

Unfortunately, I've not ordered from Arrowhead several times, due to the shipping costs, even after contacting him. If I do order from him, I'll wait until I have a really large amount of items.

Contact Paul. He is very reasonable. I don't quite understand why it would be priced so much. But I can tell you getting shipping charges right with the cookie cutter options shopping carts give you can be tough. Email Paul and I am sure he will take care of you.

I second what Dutch says. I've ordered a few things from AHE and never felt that Paul's shipping was out of line to Iowa.

I bet it's a glitch...it happened to one of my orders once & he didn't know about it & of course fixed it! Just send him a note.

I shipped out 5 fancee feast stoves a month ago within Canada and it cost me $12 to $15 each. Box was the size of a business card box and obviously weighed nothing. Wow was I shocked!!
