Gotta say that the 15.9 oz is not a bad weight for these though. I was expecting much heavier.

I agree, the wt seems reasonable for non sil. Guess since this tarp can't be used in full winter mode, I'll be needing a Superfly or OMW now
Just got mine this am. Called CS and was told that they are measured on the diagonal. I was offered a free return shipping label and free shipping on the larger tarp with a $10 off coupon on "any" purchase within the next year. This will work for me and I may still keep the smaller ones.
Hoping someone who has decided to keep these guys does a rain test and lets us know!

Also..... I offered up the info about many complaints on the net about this situation and was ask " where did you get this info? I'm not seeing any complaints on the customer reviews!"
I couldn't find a place to write a review when I checked. Maybe I need to call back.
I was also looking for a place to post comments. Anybody know how?
Ohhhhhh, tricky! Can't find any place to comment on the web site, but did find this on their Facebook page:
Sportsman's Guide Jeremy - thank you so much, Customer Reviews are so helpful to other customers. An invitation to review the product will be emailed to you. Thanks for shopping with us!
Just talked with someone in customer service. Was offered a refund for the tarp and shipping.
Did not get the offer to have the 16'x16' shipped for free, or I would have taken that deal.
Not a happy camper.
