Check black diamond website now and then. While buying some center bar extenders for newly purchased crampons I discovered that they were having a sale on ice axes (just $50 for an ice axe that sells at its lowest for $65.) when I spoke with customer service to make sure the axe was not a "seconds" they told me they regularly put items on sale to clear out inventory.
What is wrong with Treklite biners? They are a tad lighter.
