    Talking Raiffnuke M50 Hammock

At long last, here is the Raiffnuke M50 Hammock! It is an 11ft single layer hammock, with dual Knotty Mods. Currently it weighs 6.2oz with 7/64" amsteel, 6ft whoopie slings on it. I just received an order of Dynaglide and I am in the process of making Dynaglide whoopies to replace the amsteel. Currently the ridgeline is 2.2 zing-it, but I will most likely replace it with something a little smaller and lighter.

**UPDATE** With the new 6 ft Dynaglide whoopies installed, the weight is 5.5oz.

There was a very light breeze blowing, and you can see how it lifts the hammock right up!

A few shots of how small the 'bundles' are at the ends of the hammock.

    A detail of the hem.

A detail of the Knotty Mod.

The M50 material is very translucent as you can see.

A view from the inside. Surprisingly, there does not seem to be much stretch in the fabric. My single layer hammock made from the 1.0 ACU feels like it stretches more than the M50. They both provide for very flat lays, but the M50 feels better in my opinion.

This shows just how small the hammock can pack...and I didn't even compress the hammock at all, it is just rolled up in a ball!

I want to thank Neutron, Poof, Medicine Man, Black Wolf, Shug, Just Jeff, and Fronkey for taking the time to answer my questions, providing advice, and the inspiration to make this project. This is the most comfortable hammock I have been in.

I continue to be amazed that there is not an uncomfortable amount of stretch in these M50 hammocks!
Very nice job on the hammock!!
