    New 10 oz.Climashield Quilt 40 F

Here is my newest 40*F SUL quilt. Made by me. Shell and liner are made from Ripstop Nylon. Climashield XP insulation. I have tested these in Big Bear CA, Grand Canyon National Park AZ, Mt Whitney CA (highest trail in the US), San Gorgonio Ca (highest mountain in Southern CA), Mt San Jacinto CA (second highest peak in Southern CA), Cuchamonga Peak CA, Jashua Tree National Park CA.

It has a neck closure/drawstring and snaps together behind the neck. Very simple and Super Ultra Light! Fits a person up to 5'9". Sized to mimic the Nunatak Arc Ghost. 46Width/34Foot.
    10 oz.!!!!!

Way to make an entrance! That's some awesome looking quilts you got there. Welcome to Hammock Forums. I like how you finished the neck drawstring.

I brought up the subject of using snaps not to long ago. How are they working for you?

Nice! Are you selling these, or did you make several for yourself?

Beautiful work! I can tell that once I "borrow" my sister's sewing machine, it's going to be getting a heck of a work-out. Seeing all of these items is truly inspirational.

Wondered that myself. I've seen you sell them over at whiteblaze.

Thanks for the warm welcome, I know Fanatic Fringer from around the forums. How are you! Hey I have some exciting news. The company Fanatic Fringe is going to make me a backpack to my specifications since my last trek to the Amazon Jungle called for a smaller pack.

About the quilts. The snaps are very light and work well at least over the year I have been using them. Smaller than the snaps nunatak uses. It is a 2.5 oz layer in those pictured. I will be making a 5 oz quilt too. As for now anyone wanting any quilts or to talk shop can email or pm me. I started making them for me and a hiking partner then the calls for them started. I will be going public soon.

quick question BtD, do your quilts taper from the head to foot evenly, or is the taper from knee to foot only?

btw.. welcome to the world of cottage gear making. I do sil tarps for ground sleeping (oh no!) but havent mentioned it here because, well, you know.
