    Burrow = 900 fp
    Black Mamba = 850 fp

    Now I know that's not much difference but I just wanted to point it out.

    I'm totally bias ... that said ... most definitely the HG 20 with sewn footbox makes me mighty happy!
    Feet get warm and you need to vent ... tuck your knees up a bit and pop them out of the foot box. Just as easy to get back in it.

    Biggest problem with the HG quilt ... getting out of the hammock on a cold morning ... just too dang toasty and comfortable!

    My 20 degree long/wide Mamba works very well. Nice item with quality workmanship. I sleep hot and have yet to be cold down into the lower teens.

    I do mate the Mamba with a HG Incubator UQ(another fine item with superb workmanship).

    Both are high quality items. $$ might dictate the selection$$
    Both items are rare on the For Sale forum here at HF.

    Here's my .02 cents on this. I bought a 20* HG burrow with the snaps. I love it. Here's why. While being my lightest sleeping bag/quilt it is also my only quilt. I used it from February till now. All through the spring summer and fall. Even in the coldest temps that I had it in, around Mid 20's, my feet never got cold enough for to wish I had it sewn. However in the summer I could unsnap it or open the bottom to vent. Now for my winter one I will be getting a sewn zero degree from HG as well.

    My apologies to the OP if I'm digressing, but could someone with a current model Mamba please explain what the cinch cord setup is on these now? I saw an old WM video in which it had a snap and two cinch cords, one on each side, but I understand that they now have a ribbon, no snap, but I haven't seen any photos of how you cinch up the neck.

    Cheers

    There is a piece of ribbon on each corner of the top of the quilt, with a chord lock on one side. The shock cord runs through the top part of the quilt the full width.

    I can snap a pic when I get home if you'd like?

    That would be great Yukon! Much appreciated! Do you find that it cinches up pretty even with only the one cord? Seems like this would work well as it would keep the cord off your face as you indicated in your post.

    we switched to the ribbon ties long ago, you must have seen a very early model. i pull a bunch of cord through the cordlock which cinches it mainly on that side, but then you just grab the bunched fabric and pull on it a little which it evens out the cinch across the whole width, it's pretty easy.

    i find it's easier to tie the neck ribbons and do most of the cinching and THEN pop my head through the head hole, then usually just a small adjustment to the cordlock to get the tension just right around my neck
