Turtlelady
I picked up an ENO doublenest at the REI sale and was inspired by the "Turtlelady's Tri-pod Stand."
I wanted to be able to move the hammock back towards the porch where it is easier to keep tabs on the little one.
Rummaged around in the Bamboo patch behind my neighbors house to get some raw materials. Turned out a little bigger than I was thinking it would, I suppose I can trim things back later or maybe make the tripods wider?

Thanks, more bamboo envy is just what I needed.
Nice stand. I would only "cut it back" if you have any problem with the legs starting to bow.
All of that extra room is nice when you want to play with tarps.
A few of the pieces are not perfectly straight but they seem to hold up pretty well. I have been reading about curing bamboo. I might try heat curing some left over pieces to see how much work it would be.
Yosemite Sam: Are you trying to make me look a fool?
Bugs: You don't need me to make you look like a fool.
Yosemite Sam: Yer deerrrnnn right I don't!
That looks great but I'd move your lashing down a bit maybe. I fooled around with this too and found about 8' is a good place for the lashing. This allows you to make the bamboo more vertical and there's more strength against compression than against bend.
If you get into curing start a thread! I'm curing curious too...
Some say I'm apathetic, but I don't care. - Randy
Tim 607 -- Oh, my! Talk about bamboo envy! The "trimmings" from your poles would be about the length I need for my entire tri-pod legs length! You could suspend hammocks between the legs of one of your tri-pods! Way cool pictures. I also eagerly await your reports of curing attempts.
Happyfngy -- Do you have any pics from your experiments with tri-pod stands?
