Hanging in the Norse Peak Wilderness

Just back from a few days in the Norse Peak Wilderness of the central Cascades in Washington. Love saying "wilderness" way cool.

    The object of the trip

As usual I was the only hanger and the hammock was the object of much discussion. The old timers were impressed with the comfort and ease of set up, I hope they stick with tents or bedrolls so I don't have any competition for the "perfect" pair of trees.

Still need to take a few minutes to put the ridge line together so I can have a consistent hang.

Looks like a nice trip! And +1 on them sticking to ground dwelling. Things were easier out west when the whole gang was not hanging, sometimes close by usable ( right distance apart etc) trees were kind of scarce. Though lack of usable trees is not much of a problem in this part of the country.

I really like seeing you do things by horseback.

Yeah, It’s great to see a mix of trip reports! Some hiking, some paddling, some mountain biking and now some horse hanging. Horse back cam would be good.
