    Sounds nice to hammock and pick by the river.

    I have sat in a jam with Bob Black as he comes to our MN bluegrass fests from time to time. Have not yet read the book. Got to order that one up......

    Bob came to Council Bluffs (just across the river from here) a couple of years ago for a weekend fest. I only was able to make it to one performance which is where I found out about the book...but man does he pick a mean banjer. Way cool you ordered the book, you'll love it!

    Do those 2x4s have pointed ends at the bottom? How do they stay freestanding like that?

    They are not free-standing as it appears.... if you look closely on the closest side you can see the hammock webbing going down to stake in the ground. The other end goes to a tree and that kept them standing. Took a wee bit of tweaking but it worked well.
