Got a trip planned to the 'canoe in' campsites on Saturday. Looks like thunderstorms are in the forecast, so who knows when we will arrive.
I have been wanting to visit Lassiter Swamp near the mill pond for a couple of years now, so I am really looking forward to this trip. Anyone been to the canoe campsites? Got any insight on the trip that might be of interest? Of course I'll post pics afterwards.

That's a great place for hammock camping. One of the local Boy Scout Troops has reported mosquitoes out in mass already down east. Enjoy!
Yep, we're going to be ready for the mosquitos I think.
It's supposed to storm Saturday, so I hope we can canoe over to camp between the storms. Thanks for the info folks, I'm really looking forward to it.

Great place to camp. Have been trying to get back up there. Last time I was going to go up there it poured down rain. Went to the moutains instead. Most people don't believe it when you tell them there are gators there.
I am still 18 but with 52 years of experience !
