Hey Jefftrex
Thanks for posting the rest of the pictures from the Hammock Hang. I was beginning to wonder if anyone had any shots of all the hammocks.
I agree that an Ontario Summer hang should be an annual event.
Cheers

Thanks for the pics Jeff..
Ditto on making this an annual event.. Even though the weather was a little grim, I had a great time out in the bush, meeting some other like-minded hammockers and checking out their gear...(definitely doing the whoopie sling asap)
I was even thinking of heading up to Algonquin for a 2-night, end of season canoe trip (before end of September means trout season is still open: Sept 24-25).
Any takers?
I would be interested and i should have my hammock back by then (having zipper mod done).
I will have to think about that trip and to see if i can get that time off. it would be nice to get one more hang in this year.
I'm pretty interested -- I'm going camping that weekend one way or another, already have tentative plans to go backpacking with a friend. I told him about the previous Hang and he was pretty interested and is considering buying a hammock of his own for the trip. I might be able to convince him to go canoeing instead.

I like metric, I use metric, for those of you who don't ... you should, for those of you who won't ... here.
0*C - 32*F, 10*C - 50*F, 20*C - 68*F, 30*C - 86*F
100g - 3.52oz, 500g - 17.63oz, 1kg - 2.2lbs, 16oz - 1lbs
10cm - 3.9", 1m - 3.28ft, 1km - 0.62mi
I got a confirmation from my friend, he thinks it sounds like fun so we're in. I've got a canoe so there's no problem there; he doesn't have a hammock, but there's some time to fix that...

Well, this just might be coming together and hopefully the fall colours will have started!!!
It's possible that some of us won't be able to get out of the city until mid-afternoon Friday, arriving at Canoe Lake after 6pm. That would mean the even a close campsite would mean paddling through dusk into the dark and setting up well after sunset. As long as there's little wind, that not a problem for me. I'd even enjoy it!. However, here are some some options for discussion:
- Arrive Friday evening, paddle through dusk, arriving at campsite after dark
- Get a car camping site for Friday then get an early start on an interior site Saturday morning
- Get a car camping site for both Friday and Saturday nights, set up a basecamp and just do day-trips by canoe
- Arrive early Saturday morning and do one-night interior trip
- Take Friday off work and make a long weekend of it with an early start Friday
Conditions...
Fri Sept 24: Sunset: 6:58pm/Moonrise: 7:02pm (1 day past full)
Sat Sept 25: Sunset: 6:56pm/Moonrise: 7:27pm
