    load question

What do you think the max load would be for a double-layer, 1.1 ounce, nylon ripstop hammock?

Surely it depends on the manufacturer and their particular construction techniques ?

You could get very different results from something like Brandons work compared to a cheap Thai import for example.

    Who's Brandon?

Also, I'm making these hammocks myself so I was assuming that the whipping would be the same whether or not I used a 1.1 or 1.9 ounce fabric. I was just trying to decide between the two. Since you bring it up, though, what construction techniques would increase the load?

It also depends on the type of 1.1oz ripstop nylon used. There is the normal type 6, then the high tenacity type 66. (better quality).
