Funny thing is I did 2 methods of whipping assuming I would like one better than the other and would change it so both ends match. The odd thing is I preferred one end for my head and the other for my feet. Ill be interested to see if that holds true in the future when I try this with a nylon hammock. I do agree with you that most people will choose to whip both ends the same. I probably wont try anything different with this hammock as my son likes it the way it is. On my next hammock I plan on trying a couple of other options just to see if I like them better. After a couple of years I am still finding out what I like. I will say that todays hammock test tells me that I may just end up replacing my bridge with a gathered end yet.

Pete, I think I tried every known gathered end method and a couple of composites and some I came up with on my own. Had settled on the accordion fold until redoleary came up with the mini-spreader. It's amazing what this little device does to the lay of my hammock.

I agree with Olddog. It's the bomb!

Thank you Pipsissewa. I am not good at all about searching for and finding threads. I appreciate you posting a link. I have another project to try. Now I must get back to reading more of that great thread.

Hi, have been following this thread with interest

Lots of people seem to ordering table cloths to make into hammocks. But I’ve not been able to find many comments about the finished results

Could some of you post some comments about the performance of your finished table cloth hammocks?

I’m considering ordering some table cloths to make into hammocks but they will need to be shipped to Australia this is very expensive. Trying to work out if the finished results are likely to be worth the high cost in shipping to OZ

    Thanks

See my post here. Shipping to Australia can be had fairly reasonably. Go for it!
