    Talking

Neo only one problem with that camo set up.

    It doesn't work

    I can still see it.

But seriously looks like a sweet setup.

Hrm...never thought about how that tie-out system would work with the MacCat. Let us know how it works!

Will do. I am concerned that it will make the center of the side loose though but I will see what I can come up with.

Yep - that's where I think the weakness would be. Changing the length of the loop might help some. Experiment with it - and be sure to take pics!

I guess the homemade gear section would be a good place to post it - it's homemade mod, which is close enough. Unless you have a website or something to post it on.

You will not have to worry about that from my experience with the standard MacCat. That is the one good thing about the MacCat is that the center and the sides stay tight as with the others they do not.

I have a MC Deluxe and I love it. My primary camping is with scouts so carrying 4 stakes is not an issue, even if they are real heavy to get throught the rocks here

I have some plastic stakes that weigh next to nothing. I plan on using them when I section Georgia next year.

I put the hammock tie outs on 2 of the tarp stakes. When the temps are warmer, I tie one side up to catch the breeze. For scouts, that gives me a covered area to sit my lawn chair and cooler
    Peace,
    Joe

Right now I am using the aluminum stakes I got with my Kelty Crestone 1 but in the very near future will be getting some titanium stakes. Also will be using Kelty Trptease lightline. And the JrB self tensioning tarp tieouts.

I knew it wouldn't take long for Neo to start a thread about the GG tarp.

I own the 9x9 version and I really love it. It's a fantastic tarp for the price.

I am going to buy the 12x12. Not much weight difference between it and the 9x9
