    I don't have have GPS numbers for you maybe someone else might be able to help with that. In the time being here is what I can provide you with:

    It looks like the closest public boat access is almost straight across the lake at Moon's Landing (4105 Watts Bridge Road, Cross Hill, SC‎ - (864) 998-4292)‎. This should be a short 10 minute paddle to the island.

    Thanks Muskrat. Put me down in the hopeful column. I went through every page of the last thread and found lots of good info on the logistics.

    We have a family place across and down from goat island at one of the new campgrounds. Looks like a couple mile paddle if I leave my truck there. Shouldnt be bad in May, but crossing the lake in summertime in a canoe from there might be interesting with the boats stirring up the water!

    It's really not that bad. I did it in my kayak with about 1" of freeboard last year b/c I didn't want to make 2 trips. The looks I got as I paddled up were priceless
