My status has changed to "shipped" and it's now in San Francisco on it's way to Scotland. Can't wait! It's just a shame that I'll need to wait for fabric to come back in stock for an underquilt though. So glad to finally be rid of my DD hammock. It served me well but songs will not be sung of it.

    Hello Hotrod20s.

    Thanks!

My order number is #2687 and was placed on 7th May. I went for the same as you, an XLC in multicam. I just checked my mail and it shows that it was shipped on Wednesday. Hopefully it doesn't take too long to get here. I've got 3 trips in June so it's timing is perfect. I'm very glad I went directly to Warbonnet and didn't wait for UK Hammocks to get another batch in stock.

Hopefully yours will be arriving soon.

Mine took about 7 days to get from Colorado to the Netherlands. So with any luck and depending on the speed of the customs people I would think it should be with you sometime this week or so.

Had my XLC out for another trip this weekend, I've slept some 3 nights in it now. First night was so so, 'cause my UQ was slipping... Second night was ok, but due to the slope of the ground under me and the desire to look down the hill I didn't have the angle right and then there was the 3 night... Wow what an awsome sleep! Had a hard time getting up because I was so super comfy and nice and toasty.
I find myself looking for another excuse to get on the trail again the coming weekend...

Does anybody have any tips about how to keep a closed-cell foam footbox insulator in place? I bought the Jarbidge 3/4 length, and got the smallish piece of foam which is supposed to keep my feet warm, but I'm sure it's going to slip around everywhere and I'll freeze my feet off.

Mine is the XLC dual layer 1.7 if that matters.

Keep it in the footbox area of your top quilt/sleeping bag.

I toss and turn so much during the night (mainly switching from laying on my left to my right side), that the foam pad would be upside down for half the night.

I just wrote Brandon to see if on the double-layer XLC hammocks, similar to how you can slip in a sleeping mat between those layers, if you can slip in a foam pad just for your feet in the footbox area. ...If that is possible, I might have to get creative with sewing the pad in place or using velcro or something, but it'll be worth it if the pad will stay in place all the time and keep my feet warm.

The footbox of the XLC is made of a more generous cut of the bug netting rather than hammock fabric. As a result, if you're using it as intended, your feet press against the bug netting. Your heels might be close to the very edge of the hammock where the dual layers are sewn together. That means a pad slipped under there won't really totally cover your foot area.
