Mak, I see your point about the heat. It's C-R-A-Z-Y right now. Maybe this should wait until the temp drops below that of hell.

    Miguel,
I'm not a student. But my daughter is. She will be a second year engineering student at UVa in the fall. Go Wahoos!!! What was your daughter's major? My son will most likely be there in 2011 majoring in Russian and Arabic.

    Welcome from Northern Virginia!

RE: The Heat - Yeah, it's called "Summer"

Here's a secret garnered from years of hiking & hammocking. It's cooler up in the mountains! AND....!!!! There's waterfalls and swimming holes and rivers and streams to play in!

Betcha someone here in VA knows of a "Secret Place" where we can hike in for an hour and enjoy those cooling effects...?
    Happy Trails,

I never drink water. I'm afraid it will become habit-forming.

Yeah I don't mind it so much, so long as we exit the seventh circle that we are in right now.

I was also a Russian major.

She was an Anthropology major. That and a $1.59 will get you a cup of coffee at Dunkin' Donuts. (as she has since discovered) She really didn't know what she wanted to do with the rest of her life upon graduating from high school. After much contemplation and world travel I think she now has some direction. It seem like your kids have figured out their career goals already....congrats to them.

Cool about the Russian. Most people look at him like he's crazy when he tells them he will be majoring in that. Do you use that part of your degree?
