Buy is closed, because with what I want that leaves Boyd with what he wants. I'll figure out postage tomorrow. We are cutting tonight.
I don't take PayPal. I'll PM you with the total and my address, and I'll send out the Tyvek as you send me a check.

deal! and hey- you don't need envelopes, just fold it and put on a label and some tape to hold the folds... ;D KM
Hey Shadowmoss, Jofish and all, thanks for thinking of me with this little project. I may in the future pick up some of the wider rolls to have on hand. I am glad you got such a good deal on that wide of a roll, that really is a good price.
Just as "market research" what dose everyone have planned for there Tyvek? I went with the 3' wide as that seemed like a reasonable size for ground cloths for hammock users--set your pack on it, boots, and if as a last resort you had to go to ground it would keep your hammock clean. But with that wide of material--What projects do you all have planned? Just curious

Thanks for understanding. As for me, well, I was more going along for the ride with Boyd. He found the 9' roll, so I said I'd go in on it. I want to make some mitts, and a Jerry chair, and I didn't want to use all the pieces I have left for that. I did want a tad larger (wider) ground cloth than the pieces I had, which I think are 3', maybe 4'. I'm going to play with making the Jerry chair/ground cloth combo, and may not get it right the first time.
I have all the pieces cut and in the back of my Jeep. Tomorrow I'm going to buy one of the priority mail envelopes, unless it looks like I could save some money by using plain tyvek envelopes and regular mail. I don't want to just put an address and stamp on the piece itself as it will damage the piece, and I can't guarantee it would be at a corner (I'm not that detail oriented...).

I want to look into a Garlington Insulator type of under shell...and a tarp....and a ground cloth
So far all I come up with is spray paint or the Kiwi polish for subduing the color.
Where are folks getting TYVEK tape at?
Tom
I'm using the tyvek to make a lot of various backpacking gear - mostly it's testing of ideas. Tarp, modernized alicepack, chestpack, rain cape, groundcover for a solo tent. I really should have made my order larger from the get go!
Our scout troop always need extra tyvek.
