As usual work gets in the way (for the full loop trip)

, but I might join you for Friday night (coming off graveyard shift Fri. morning) and 'possibly' Saturday night if I can 'pass' on working Sunday daylight shift (good probability - start of our annual 2 week maintenance shutdown)...

...also depends on where you will be at that time, but there are many places around the loop that one can jump onto the AFT (even if I had to do an 'out & back' for only a one night hang - it would be great to join youns 'wild & crazy' hangers once again...
I will subscribe to your AFT thread and follow your planning!

BTW, I have day-hiked portions of the AFT (& fished Sixmile Run, too) since it is part of my 'backyard' - which by my definition is anything within a 2 hour drive!!

Any additional info on specifics or hiking opportunities on the AT using this spot as a basecamp would be much appreciated.

I have booked and paid for the Gathland Picnic Shelter for Saturday, Oct. 20 so we will have full use of the shelter all day long. Proceeds from the potluck dinner and raffle will pay for the shelter.

No website but a Fall MAHA 2012 thread will be started by one of the organizers as the time grows near. An excel spread sheet with attendees and what people are bringing will be posted.

And man am I ever so excited. I love Fall MAHA, and Spring MAHA, and the Jersey Winter hang, and Mt. Rodgers and well just about every hang Ive been to I love I look forward to all of them and cant wait to this one.
