    VIDEO: Ambulatio Appalachiana 2011.09.28

Got out yesterday for a quick over-night up to Annapolis rock.

English speakers will want to turn on closed caption - Latine loquentes sine versibus subscriptis spectare possunt.

    Great Video Pullarius !

    Hey Pullarius,

That was a great video, very interesting and even though I can't speak Latin it sounded great. Good to see you get out for an overnight hike by yourself. You do learn quite a bit going by yourself and I agree that it is good to spend some time alone in the woods once in a while.

I just did the same thing this weekend and my video is very similar to yours, it is a two part video that runs about 27 minutes long. I am uploading to You Tube right now, it should be up tonight. I liked the length of your video and look forward to many more from you.

    Thanks for posting this video.
    Take care,
    Bluefin

Thanks very much. This was the first video of this kind that I've done - definitely an experiment. I think the most important thing I learned was that I can just pack my bag and go, without too much hassle. I'm lucky to live near enough to a lot of parks and entrances to the AT, that I shouldn't have an excuse not to get out and hang.

It turns out to be very good for my Latin as well. The hours spent creating that closed-caption file really highlight mistakes

I'll keep an eye out for your post.

Enjoyed very much you video in Latin. I of course had flashbacks to Mass as a child and being smacked about the head from my Mom for acting up.....good times.

Great idea to keep up your latin skills. Are you learning or are you refreshing what you learned?

Nice hike too. What was the distance?

Actually, I teach full-time and run the kitchen for a Latin immersion program each summer

This was a very short hike, about 2.5 mi. each way. It was actually my first overnight hike since I was a boy scout all those years ago.
