I'm willing to pay for the beer you can drink it and then send me the can. Cutting off the top would be appreciated.

I actually have one of the Lifesaver lids that has a push button on it to open up the tin and it works well on the heine pot. When you put it on you squeeze the sides and it pops the middle up shut tight around the lip it also has already made vent hole aroun the top.

I just threw away(in the recycle bin) Fosters can and Heini can with the lids removed with safety can opener, plus several aluminum Budweiser bottles. They had been sitting under my kitchen sink for a while and my wife kept nagging me asking me to get rid of them. I should have given them away.

I would have taken them well at least the bud bottles and maybe the foster can.

What do ya'll read into this whole boiling water in a can with plastic liner thing? The little woman and I have an 8week old, and planning on a few more later on. Don't want to give one of my kids a cone head or something because I tried to cut a few ounces back packing.

another top for the Heini pot is a Campbells microwave soup bowl - I cut it down to appprox 2 inch high, put some pipewarm insulation on the outside and then cover inside and outside with foil - its an insulated tight fitting top that can also be put on the bottom to make the can into a cup that can be held in hand with hot tea

after you chop the can boil the can in a larger pot for a few minutes - anything that is going to dissolve out of the liner will be gone - and in any case even if you don't its no worse than drinking a couple cases of beer over a year

We opened the can top up with a safety can opener, thus creating the perfect lid. No sharp edges!

    Lids?

I am just trying to figure out why people are looking for Heiny pot lids? What is wrong with the safety can opener method. The top of the can that was there to begin with fits awesome!
