    Received my Winter Yeti

Got my winter yeti in the mail today! Woo hoo!!!!

VERY well made. Stitching is good. Shape conforms beautifully to the hammock, and MAN, does it have a lot of goose down in it. It feels like Brandon stuffed it with overfill. There are no voids at all in the chambers.

I have sold sleeping bags as a retailer for 9 years, and this is TOP NOTCH.

It is a very well constructed accessory to the Warbonnet Blackbird.

Can't wait to try it out this winter!

Sometimes I like to hike and think, And sometimes I just like to hike.

Hiking is'ent about waiting for the storm to pass its about learning to hike in the rain.

    Yeti weight

i'll have to check out the weight. Around 15 oz, I THINK.

Sorry, I usually don't even think about it because I look for durability first and weight second. I use packgoats in the summer and a pulk sled in the winter, so I don't carry hardly anything on my back anymore. I got soured on some UL equipment last summer because (some) of it is so fragile.

But I will weigh it and let you know.

Cost was $250 plus $10 shipping, which I felt was fair pricing, due to the quality of it. The winter yeti is quite THICK...glad I went with it since I usually camp/hike here in the Rocky Mountains.

Another thing I noticed about it is that it looks to be differentially CUT in BOTH directions. NOT just a quilt, but tailored to fit.

As I posted several weeks ago when I received my Winter Yeti... "The weight of the Winter Yeti is 18.1 oz without the stuff sack... that makes it 5.8oz more than 3 season version and almost all of that weight difference is down." Great piece of gear. Now if it would just get cold enough to really test it's limits...

My winter yeti is about 17.5oz or just under 500grams. It's awesome, and so far I've used it in warmer weather without a problem, as well as below zero without a problem.
