Run your whoopies thru the attachment eye of the stand, over to the middle, where you attach both whoopies together with a carabiner. Adjust for proper elevation. If your whoopies are to short for this, suplement with more line or a tree strap.
Doing this may raise the ends of the hammock enough to clear the stand, and consume the extra "dead" space of line at each end of the hammock. You should be able to draw the hammock ends completely up to the attachment eyes.
I've done this before on my indoor set up (hook eyes in the walls) and it works. It should work with a stand. Some of the stands angles just are not useful for camping style hammocks.
