When I am unsure of the weather I like to take insulated pants and a lightto medium weight down jacket.
I pack these pants, they are great.

I like insulated pants because you can sleep in them and wear them around camp.
I also recommend a stocking cap and wool glove liners to sleep in and you might consider a Grizz Beak for on end of your tarp.

In fact, you probably want to learn this song so you can sing it over and over during your trip.They actually play it twice with the original starting at about 4:11. This is a fairly recent video as the tunnel shown is the new one, not the old snow tunnel near the ski area.

Great video...Camped there 5 summers in a row when they were building tunnel and widening road, even had some sleepless nights with road crews hauling out the days blast rubble. Question- This is first time Camping there this late and I am expecting freezing temps. I'm sure Ive got me covered, but what do you reccomend I do to keep my water from freezing?
If you want some drinking water available without melting snow or gathering from a river then I'd suggest keeping a water bottle with you when you sleep. Maybe between your clothing layer(s) and your sleeping bag/TQ/Blanket setup. Not that I've done this, but that's what I've heard.
Other than that - hope you enjoy your time in our great state, woo!
Is that a winter Nest? Cause odds are you will need the winter model, or at least a good CCF pad to augment it with. But like Cannibal and Food said you never know. It could be not all that cold. On the other hand, it could be brutal. Low last night in Breckinridge was 17, record is 12. But for Nov avg low is 10F and record is minus 18.
Of course, that is at about 9000 feet or so, if you are several thousand feet lower you could make those temps 10 or 15* warmer. But, that is still plenty cold!
One final caveat: can you get some good practice with your Nest before you go? Because lot's of folks report some learning curve with most of these UQs. And unless they have changed it, the nest is not a dif cut. Is that still the case? If so, there is some additional learning curve. It must be adjusted so that it is just barely in contact with your back, but not tight enough to compress the down. It will be a big help to have someone work with you while you are in the hammock and make sure it is adjusted correctly.

I believe Wolf Creek just got 15 inches of snow in the past couple days. Here in Denver we had a few flakes this morning and then it is going back up in the 70's in a few days.I have been a lot of places in my life, but Colorado is the one place that is truthful about " If you don't like the weather just wait 10 minutes and it will change! " Have to prepare for anything in the mountains here. One of the most beautiful places I have ever been before and you will have the time of your life here.
