Can anyone point me to a how to or discussion on building the bug net on the lines like he has the cuben stuff... I'm thinking about making me one and that looks like the best way... Where they run on the bungee lines and the snap up when you let go of them...

A sock out of Z-Pack's breathable cuben! Genius. What a great idea. Glad you made it happen.

Impressive. That's something I hope to medicineman for my collection. How does my present kit stand up to the Derigible? Oh the humanity.

I've had the pleasure of meeting hangnout on two hike&hangs - how he can put so much gear into such a small pack (that he flawlessly built) that weighs as much as my shoes still mystifies me. He is truly a craftsman - and a great guy to boot.

On our RRG hang, I overheard hangnout and MedicineMan discussing a new project - concepts, designs, options, materials, and scenarios were kick around, totally out of my league (my skill max out at making whoopie slings). They obviously spent time and effort to come up with something to make our lives easier. Hats off to these boys and to our other entrepreneurs. After all of their effort the only way they can end up with $1 is if they start with $100 - they do subsidize us.

Wow MM, I just got done watching the video. Very informative and the sock y'all created is indeed very innovative. I liked how it cut down on the set up time and the degree in warmth it added. Very neat indeed! I liked how the wraps around the suspension lines were made up. What attention to detail to waterproof around them! Really that is some great work. I will be interested in how your year pans out on the durability test of this zepplin sock! Cool ending by the way. Did you ever go to work with one of those braided in! If you did, I bet it was a hoot! Thank you my friend!

OK I'm finally getting caught up & watched it again as promised. It looks like a very easy set up that I like. And you know how I love socks for warmth and privacy. I'd like to see how it all goes together with under quilt and bug net though. Which net was that, looks like one of Marty's?
How does it feel when it's raining and the water is running down all around the outside?!
Having no condensation is fantastic! I have the Mac IX sock and I get some between the sock & my UQ, but I'm a "wet breather" as they call it.
It looks good in porch mode, plenty of coverage and can angle it down if desired or completely close it up. Have you tried cooking under it during rain yet? Seriously a dry spot on the ground during & after rain is something I really appreciate.
The hoods on the ends look very durable and I bet in snow they would hold up well. Oh that will be another cool vid to watch of the higher colder winter hang come next Feb!
Did I miss it but what hammock & UQ was used? Would an 11' gathered end hammock fit?
Sorry for the 20 questions but I'm very interested in having one of these when it's ready for production.
