    Butler Ridge Provincial Park

A buddy and myself took a hike into Butler Ridge Provincial Park last weekend...really nice area, close to home, and had never hiked there before. Found a great little camping area next to a very clean, cold creek in a valley bottom. The area looked like it had been used as a hunting camp in times past...great big spruce and balsam trees!

Middle of the night, something or other gave its life to a predator very close to camp...definitely played its part in the circle of life!

    Cheers

Beautiful area out there. Really enjoyed my time living in BC.

Thanks man! Got a decent hike in the next day, made er' quite a ways up the ridge the next morning, but due to time constraints, never topped out and had to turn back. Will have to try again...will get pics!

Thanks Dragon! It is really nice up here, I had never really spent much time in that particular area, but it looks like there are alot of good hiking opportunities to be had.

Thanks Scott, Edmonton's great as well, spent 5 good years there, did some hunting in Mundare (fresh Stawnichy garlic sausage after a morning of deer hunting....seriously.....drooling!) and alot of fly fishing south of town at Mound Red and Pigeon.
