Texas Hang in June

How about the last half of June or the 1st weekend in May? We could go somewhere like Inks Lake. The lake is real cool for swimming and has big fish in it. There are hiking trails and boat rentals.

Suggestions? Thoughts? Opinions?

Ooh, Inks lake would be great -- and for those who'd want an interesting side trip, Longhorn Caverns State park is just a few minutes away -- a unique river-formed cave, rather than the usual earthquake or drip-formed that you usually get down there....

IN! Just tell us when to be there! We absolutely love Inks Lake! Need to get some proper exploring of that park in! Any weekend but May 22nd. We've got plans then

Hill Country- very tempting! marble falls sounds interesting also!- but be aware- campgrounds tend to be very full along rivers (tubing) and lakes during the summer- perhaps a 2mil hike to "primitive" camping would eliminate most of the crowds...? anybody from Austin/environs got a suggestion?

eek, I just realized that the only weekend I have open between now and July 4 is the last weekend in May, which happens to be Memorial Day weekend, not a time for solitude at a lake.

I agree that someone needs to take charge, set a date that works for him or her and get this thing rolling. Unfortunately my schedule keeps me from being that someone this time.

I'll be glad to set up the Texas Fall Hang again in November, (but we won't talk much about that until August), and join in on any others I can fit in between now and then.

Right... since its up to somebody else, then why don't we pick a random date on a calendar and set this thing up???

Early June? Early May? What's folks opinions??

... but read back on the thread, I never made a commitment to the group.

Here's the simple way to do this Kattelyn.

Pick a date that works for you.
Pick a place you like.
Reserve a site.
Post it.
Done.

Have fun!

and if the schedule permits, I'll try to make it as well.
