    Good news and bad news!

    Good news!

First of all I have found a safe house!
It is located about 13,5km away from the E45 and depending on how easy it is to ski the area around the house could be used as a campsite. I don´t think we will get there the first night but night 2 and 3 we could hang nearby the safehouse.

    The safehouse:

The cabin is always open for everyone and there is a fireplace inside.

It is located at the red dot on the map:

It is quite a bit to ski there but if the conditions are good it is easy skiing. Mainly on bogs and they are usually easier to ski on then through the forest.

    Bad news!

The parking lot at Hapsasjaure is not open during the winter after all!
My inside informer misunderstood me (how is that possible?).
There is a parking lot open about 1km away from Hapsasjaure so we can use that instead. Hopefully we can ski on the road from the parking lot to Hapsasjaure.

Finally a professional movie from springtime in Muddus (enjoy):

    Good news indeed !
I don't know why, but i kind of like the idea of a multi pitch (climbing lingo).
And really like the idea with a cabin with a fire place inside

But hang on a second !
If we can't reach the cabin the first day,
that must mean we can't reach the parking lot in one stint eigher ?

So then the trip looks like this ?
    • Camp 1 Between the parking lot and the cabin.
    • Camp 2 At the cabin.
    • Camp 3 Same spot/or close to camp 1

(maybe we should use camp 1, so we can save time by using our established hang sites).

I don't care so much that the starting point moves a K to the left or right .

Nice work and good digging Bieggolmai

PS You still have to do something about the temps !!!!

    45 Days to go

    And this ?

BTW, As you all know finding and get your hands on some really good ninja gear is really hard !
But the rumor says that the secret ninja skis finally are in the mail

It all depends on your flight times.
We will probably not have so much daylight left the first day to be able to get all the way to the cabin.
The last day we can go further if we start early in the morning.
That also depends on when your flight leaves.

Right know I am working on the snow and it seems like I´m doing really good on that. We´ve got plenty of snow the last days and it is good to have a proper amount of snow at camp. At least we can get warm by digging snow!

When we have enough snow I´ll start working on the cold effect....

    Ninja-gear:
I have some Ninja Metal Skulls coming in to my webshop soon!

If I had an exact location on the cabin we could go by GPS in the dark.
If we get northern light it will light up a little bit.
There will be no fullmoon to light the way though.

Everything is possible though, but I think we need to plan our trip as we go since we can´t tell in advance what will happen. Better safe then sorry!

Our flight should arrive at 11:55 if everything goes as planned.
We might need to buy some food and such before heading out i guess...

How long is the drive from Gällivare to the parking spot btw?

    About 20-30 minutes (I guess)

We will be off earliest at 1400 from the parking lot.
That gives us 2hrs of daylight to get our asses to camp 1.

I don´t think we will get very far day 1.......
