Just got my traveler this week. Spent two nights in the backyard with it and I couldn't be happier. This will be my no bug zone hammock and my WBBB will be my bug zone hammock.

The traveler is an amazing product and the price makes it even better.

I'm 5'11" 180 on a bad day and sold my Traveler and WBBB. Went back to my ENO Double.

turn your Traveler into a no fly zone by applying the permethrin for clothes/gear (sold at Dicks in large spray bottle. Hose it down, let it dry then repeat. Bottle says it will last several washings but since we keep our hammocks relatively dry via tarps the spray on repellant should last much longer. I've found that it creates a no fly zone for mossies/gnats/etc. You'll watch them fly in but stop once they hit the invisible shield. YMMV but I've had good luck and the spray on once dried is lighter than a bug net

So, to those of you suggesting trying out hammocks... How do you do that? I'm not aware of any way to try hammocks around me except my el cheepo and I have an old friend with a hennessy...

exact same size and exact same thing.

That being said, I had bought a 1.7 from another member and I think I should've bought a 1.1, I'd have been happier and probably wouldn't have gone back to my ENO. I don't care for the ridgeline though.

You send Warbonnet guy the money to purchase and ship one; you try it out for 10 nights; and if you don't like it, you sell it at HF for a maximum $30 loss (with shipping.)

The trial really comes to that little per night. The total for all 10 nights is less than just 4 hours rental of a lousy bed at Love Motel.

I have a 1.1 SL. I'm 200# at its max. And I'm really happy with it.
And I find the adjustable webbing easy to set up.
    Hope it helps

I am thankful for all the advice I'm getting.

Re: group hangs, where do you get info on those? Anyone know of one near southern Idaho?
